LOVE

I some times send scraps on orkut to people not known to me. Rather than using the dim-witted “Hi….. Can u be my friend?”, “Hi……sexy your profile is hot” etc I prefer to send a good inspirational quote, a clean and good joke, some religious thoughts etc…

Last week I send a scrap to a girl in which I had written, “fool in love makes no sense to me.I only think you are a fool If you do not love”

For the first time I received a reply to my quote and the reply goes like this…..
hey bt wat i think is a prson in luv is a fool................as luv destroys everythin...............even tht prson......i hve an evidence fr tht.........

I was really surprised and wanted to reply back to her. But maybe she had done some kind of setting in order to block my reply and scraps. Frankly I was not at all disturbed by her reply.

So much pain, so much agony, so much hate. But I cannot term her completely wrong. People definitely get fooled in love and get destroyed and if not they find such occurrences around their life, their friends, parents, relatives.

For those of my close friends who know me they would testify for this statement, “I am a living example of a person who had completely destroyed him self in love” Ask me what destruction in love means. I pray and pray a lot to Krishna that this does not happen to anyone.

But life is overflowing with exact incongruity. Success and failure, love and hate, ups and downs, positives and negatives, good and bad. Not on this earth I have seen any nation not going thru crisis of some kind nor have I known a person from any background to be so intelligent so as to not get cheated or fooled by another. We all have our shares of goods and bads. And it may be in form of parents, relatives, friends, children, lovers, business, boss, colleagues, teachers, marks, coaches, playmates, in games, in society. Do we shun our father if he does intentionally or unintentionally something wrong to us? Do we break our relations with our children if they fail to live up to our expectations? Not me. And even if others do it they still at some point of time in their lives want to extend hand forward and “say that’s ok it happens sometimes, I forgive u”.

May be I may not be there tomorrow or the person I love or hate may not be there. So keep loving and living.

Even after all that I have gone thru my life, I still believe in love. Love has healing power. I may not keep loving the person as I used to do before but at least I can start loving others who are more deserving of my love – parents, teachers, sons, daughters, cousins, friends, pets, mountains, old people, other children. This is the only way to get away from the negativity that we faced by our previous relationship or association. By this way we channalize our energies to a more positive route. And at the most we could be more careful in the future by not completely trusting a new person. If there is some one to cheat us --- there are persons to keep our trust safe.

Hence believe in God, love god, trust god, make him your companion for the rest of your journey in life……. whatever is left……. in due course nothing good or bad will matter.

This was serious stuff, I hate my self for being so serious….. lets get light

In the school I went to, they asked a kid to prove the law of gravity and he threw the teacher out of the window.

At last I would sincerely pray that may god bring peace and love in the life of that girl and let her once again start believing in love and life and spread joy around her.

God bless All

Hindi Songs and Me

I really love Hindi songs. Songs and music are an integral part of our lives. We may be of any nation and may speak any language but music can touch our hearts and souls.

At some point of time or the other a song can remind us of some person, some place, some other living being, god, situation etc., how we have associated it in our minds.

Not going into much details I want to list the songs / albums which remind me of ….. lets see….

1) Tum bin jiya jaye kaise (Film – Tum Bin) – this reminds me of my dad and I really feel like crying.
2) Suraj hai too (Film – Aradhana) and Tujhe suraj kahoon (Ek Phool do Mali) – my mother, she used to sing this to me as a lori (lullaby) at night
3) Songs from the film Lal Dupatta Mal Mal Ka, Jeena Teri Gali mein and any song of MJ – my cousin sister Anita (Anu) about the time we spent at our native place (Harayana) and Mumbai – she was at that time a great fan of MJ
4) Madhosh dil ki dhadkan (Jab Pyar Kisise hota hai) & Dekha teri mast (Khiladi) – Ambika (Rinku)

14) Yeh ladka hai allah (Hum Kisise kam nahie) – Pankaj and Deepak – Deepak’s girlfriend was singing this song on stage – the joke started when she sang the antara of this song “humne to itna dekha” – I still giggle when I think about it.
15) Morni baga ma bole (Lamhe) – this reminds me of 2 girls who sang this song all thru out college i.e. from 11th to TYBcom. – I don’t know their names
16) Roop suhana lagta hai – Nandini – she was with me in high school
17) Bhajan bina chain na aaye ram (Rafoo Chakkar) – my papa – this is his favourite bhajan

22) All songs of Bombay – I remember this distinctly as this was the first audio cassette that I purchased from my pocket money.

Which song reminds u of what and whom and of what? I would really appreciate if u add your comments.

Slow down – for creating more love

Today morning I started practicing the technique that I had practiced sometimes back when I was still in second year of Arts. Somehow I never thought of practicing it for the past so many years. I slowed down in my daily activities….which means I tried not to force myself to do it at a faster speed. I tried to be natural.

The results were amazing. All the morning chores were finished on time. I did not look now and then at the clock to time my activities. For the past 2 weeks I could not catch up with my regular 9.22 local even after rushing. I listened to my favorite songs, made a nice loving breakfast, dressed myself as a normal human being, got the time to talk to my wife. Another wonderful thing I discovered that I was doing the same tasks in a more loving manner. It was thoroughly enjoyable. I went to my child’s school and I was speaking in a very soft tone rather than a worried and hurried kind. I was told to wait and I waited there not glancing at my watch. I drove to station peacefully.

We all should try this out at least once a month and that too on a working day. Sundays and Holidays we are generally peaceful with ourselves and others around.

Be slow, be natural just like nature. Nature does not pull our children to make them an adult, it does not stretch a bud to make it a rose, it does not pump the seed to make it a big tree. Everything is slow, peaceful, natural and it takes its own time.

Being slow does not mean to stop doing things or being lazy or to postpone your work. Just keep on doing the same work at your natural speed rather than rushing with it. This will make u more creative in doing the same things. Do things as if u had all the time in the world. U will be amazed to see that the same work will be finished in the right time always consuming 4-5 minutes before u usually finish it, may be earlier in your case.

Being slow and natural will also make the environment around you more in tune with yourself.
Brush your teeth slowly, drive your vehicle at a normal speed, eat naturally, take time to dress as u want, feel the breeze, watch the sky changing colors in the evening, take time to see kids play (not necessary yours), type slowly, click slowly, read slowly (u will make less mistakes), do each and everything slowly and naturally.

This is my heart felt advice to anyone who is reading this, to at least give it a try, believe me u will be greatly benefited and give your feedback. Since we have already trained our minds to rush with everything, don’t worry just give yourself a cool remainder to be slow and continue.

May the love of God always shine in your life, as you become a light for others. Have a pleasant day. God bless

FAITH

Faith – they say can move mountains. I have read a beautiful statement in a book by Norman Vincent Peale it says : Faith even as little as a mustard seed is enough to create miracles in your life. But do we really have faith either in ourselves or in our God.

In India there is a superstition that if a Black Cat crosses your way things are bound to go wrong. People start getting worried. That means we have more faith in that Black Cat than in God who has created that same black cat.

There is small and sweet story about faith – and this is about a 6 year old girl. She is my sister-in-law’s daughter. Her name is Bhagyashree and she is just in Sr. KG (Kinder Garten).
The family of my sister-in-law believe in Aniruddh Bapu. They have various photos of Bapu in their house. They worship him, regularly go to the temple, go for satsang etc. All the people who worship Bapu keep a grey powder (Vibhuti) at their home, which they apply as Tikka after taking bath or before leaving their home.

It happened one day that Bhagyashree was not feeling well. Just general cough and cold. That entire day she was not feeling well. Her parents gave her medicine available at home left her to school and after she came back from school she was still not feeling very well. As her father was in 3-11 shift, they could not visit the doctor. Her father said to her take your food and medicine and go to sleep and that they would go to the doctor early next morning. Bhagyashree had her dinner quietly – though she could not eat much.

After the family finished their dinner, Bhagyashree went to her parents and said “why go to the doctor, when I can cure my self”. Her dad was astounded to hear such words and asked her how she could do so? She asked him to see what she is doing. This is what she did : She took her glass, poured water from the bottle, then she took Bapu’s Vibhuti from the drawer, took a pinch of it and put it in the glass, mixed it with a spoon and drank the water. Then she said to her parents now see by morning I will be fit and fine.

And actually in the morning they were amazed to see that the girl was brimming with energy and full of sparkle as usual. Their already strong faith in Bapu was further strengthened by this.

That’s faith. I also have my share of personal faith stories which I shall share in coming blogs. Till then. You can also share your experinces. Religion, caste and creed do not matter here.

KEEP FAITH – IT MAY NOT MAKE THE MOUNTAIN SMALLER BUT IT WILL MAKE CLIMBING EASIER. HOPE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CLIMB ALL YOUR MOUNTAINS TODAY AND EVERY DAY. HAVE A GREAT DAY AHEAD!

JAI KANHIYA LAL KI

Today is Janashtami. My favorite favorite favorite Lord Krishna was born today. And atlast its raining today after a break of 1 week.

I still miss going to temple with my parents for prayers and chanting his holy name. I simply love Krishna for every thing he is - whether he the little baby crawling around, breaking Matki and stealing Makhan for his , as a lover boy, prankster, demon demolisher, king of dwarka, friend of sudama, and last but not the least guide of Arjun. I accept krishna in all his forms right from baby till the end of his reincarnation.

As we all know there are many stories surrounding his incarnation. One that i really love goes here:- (i don't remember the entire one)

Naming ceremony : Due to atrocities of Kamsa the naming ceremony of Balarama and Krishna could not place immediately after their birth. However after about 6-7 months the parents (Nand, Yashoda and Rohini) decided to have a naming ceremony. Due to some reasons their family guru was not able to do this, so he referred the guru of Radhaji, Swami Gargacharya.

Swami Gargacharya started the naming ceremony. He took a look at their birth details (janam patri) then said that the elder brother shall be named as Balarama and he shall always remain with lil brother and protect him from all evil.

When he saw at janampatri of lil brother he kept quiet for some time. When Yasoda insisted, he said what name should I give him. He will be known by a hundred names and i cannot name them all any ways his name shall be Krishna or Krishn.

As is the case with all the parents, they are interested in knowing the future of the their children, so was the case with Yashoda and Nand. They starting enquring, "please guruji, let us know what is in store for our child, his future, his career, his marriage and all other related things" Swamiji smiled and said "Please mother, do not force me to tell about his future"

Yasoda still insisted that she wants to know her childs future.

Swamiji said ok then let me tell you that when your child grows up he shall be a thief. "What! exclaimed Yashoda. My child will grow up to be a thief". "Yes. He will steal in neighbour hood as a child (Makhan) and the hearts of people.

Next he will also be a barber. This was when the eldest Kaurav, duryodhana was waiting for his barber Nanda nai. His barber was busy in Lord Krishna's Satsang and as a result forgot that he was supposed to visit Duryodhana. In the mean time Duryodhana was waiting eagerly for the barber and was getting frustrated, in the mean time Lord Krishna took the form of Nanda Nai and came to Duryodhan and saved his devotee.

He will also be a chariot rider. This was when he was guiding Arjun thru the war of Mahabharata.

Many more stories are there related to my beloved Krishna. They are great to hear rather than writing, since i am new at writing stuff.

I hope Krishna gives me more chances to write, speak, interpret, chant his name in future also.

For all those who by way of chance come to this blog : May Krishna fill your life with knowledge, health and wealth and shower his blessings on you and your entire family.

JAI SHRI KRISHNA

Yahoooooo

Yahooooooo......

At last i have created my blog. Today is 22nd August 2008, Friday.
